Wellbeing Workshop: Self-Talk and Self-Compassion (Madame Papillon)

Venue: Le Local de Craffiti, 22 rue de Pervyse, 1040 Etterbeek

Workshop Self-Talk and Self-Compassion by Gabriela, in collaboration with Madame Papillon association

Learn to identify and detach from the judging voice inside you and shift it to a kinder and more compassionate inner voice of wisdom.

We will discuss, practice and – yes! – play to support our recovery from burnout.

The way we talk to ourselves matters, especially in burnout

Negative self-talk has many forms. In burnout, negative self-talk can sound like:

  • “I will never be well again…”
  • “I am worthless…”
  • “I can’t do anything!”
  • “I have done nothing today!”

There are, however, kinder and more supportive ways of talking to ourselves. Beating ourselvers up over and over again will not make us feel better, nor will allow us to overcome faster challenges such as burnout.

In this workshop, I would like you to reflect on how you relate to self-compassion and share some of my own tips and tricks with you, including on the cultivation of self-compassion, which support us with turning that critical inner voices into kinder and more loving words towards ourselves (and subsequently, others).

“May you give yourself the compassion that you need.”
Gabriela
