Instead of diamonds, I found my silver butterfly

This morning I left home in a hurry. I was late. And beside that I was not feeling well. I was dizzy and with nausea. I got to the office, switched on my pc and immersed in the daily work items. I was having a soar throat, so I kept my scarf around my neck. Now and then I was pulling it closer to my neck. I was cold and I was not well. I got a cup of hot water on which I poured some Paracetamol powder. I got hungry and got a pack of biscuits from the vending machine. I was still cold. I pulled again my scarf tightly around my neck and then it struck me: where is my silver necklace? My husband offered it to me on 8th of March, the International Women’s Day. It was a very thin silver necklace with a small silver and zirconium butterfly pendant. I removed my scarf and found my necklace undone but still hanging onto my shoulder. I must have not fastened it properly this morning. Necklace found, but butterfly pendant missing.

I got up, checked under my desk and my chair. I went back to the vending machine looking at the floor and desperately trying to find my pendant. Went back to the toilets, to the printer area and finally to the car park. I kept scrutinizing the floor, trying to find my butterfly pendant. And then, right next to the car, by the driver’s door, stuck in a dent of the car park’s floor, I saw something. It was dark so I could have been just imagining. But I wasn’t. Here it was my lost and found silver and zirconium butterfly pendant. I was relieved.

I looked then at my wedding ring and remembered the horrible story with the jeweler from Zakynthos. I had lost a total of 5 diamonds, due to what I assess to be very poor quality work. Those diamonds are lost but at least my silver and zirconium pendant was found.

Meanwhile, the European Consumer Center informed me that no amicable solution was reached with the jeweler on the broken wedding ring and poor service repair affair. After the ring broke twice, losing a total of 5 diamonds, I had informed the jeweler in December 2015 that we decided to redo the ring from scratch in Belgium and not with them. We no longer trusted their manufacturing services. Who would? We were dropping the claims of purchase cancellation & total reimbursement and we were only requesting the reimbursement of the initial repair which turned out to be faulty. The jeweler declined even the repair reimbursement. I asked at least to have the last 2 diamonds lost following their faulty repair. Refusal again.

Anyway, I need to move on. I need to leave the pain behind. I lost 5 diamonds from my wedding ring, but today I found the lost silver and zirconium butterfly pendant.
